The story of our company is a tale of passion handed down over time. It is the clash and the meeting between different points of view, yet all with one and the same desire: to bring the precious fruits of our land and vineyards to the tables of the whole world.

Giovanni, Maurizio, Rocco, Fiorella and today, also Umberto and Flaviana: 3 generations united by the passion for the land and the wine.

The Ciabot winery is located in Farigliano, Piedmont, with a vineyard area that goes from the Dogliani area up to the Roero.

We cultivate skillfully, with dedication and passion in the municipalities of Farigliano, Dogliani, Monforte, Serralunga, La Morra, Castagnito, Santo Stefano Roero, Montà and Viguzzolo.

Over the years we have learned to appreciate the differences between important native grape varieties such as Dolcetto, Nebbiolo, Barbera, Arneis, Moscato and Favorita and international vines such as Cabernet, Merlot and Sauvignon.

Piedmont is synonymous of mono varietal wines. Nevertheless for 5 years now we are involved in the processing of new blends. The peculiarities of our many native grape varieties enhance the quality of each blend.


Having available a large and varied vineyard area ranging from international vines such as Cabernet, Merlot and Pinot Nero up to native vines such as Barbera, Dolcetto and Nebbiolo we are constantly looking for something unique and identifying.

Hence the idea of recreating what was the innovation of the Super Tuscan. Innovative, dynamic products in step with the times, able to harmoniously follow the reality of climate change, as well as the change of the taste demand of customers and the demands of a market in constant evolution.

Piedmont is the only Italian region that has always paid attention of its main denominations on native vines vinified in 100% purity.

We want to break the mold, seeking the peculiarity of each of these majestic vines to create new unique blends, wisely refined.


In enology a blend is a combination of two or more grapes in order to obtain an unique cut. A blend is therefore an assemblage of grapes, wines and musts of the same vintage or costant over time.

It is an art which requires competence, experience and an incredible sensivity on the nose and the palate.

It is a sintax of tastes, colours and parfumes. As harmonious as a musical composition and as balanced as the colors of a painting.


In the enological world, Veneto is known for its Amarone wine: a blend of Corvina or Corvinone together with Rondinella and other non-aromatic red grape varieties as well as other Italian native red grape varieties.

Tuscany, on the other hand, is known for Chianti, which is a blend of Sangiovese and other vines, such as Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.

In the same way we want to pave the path for innovation by expanding the concept of Piedmontese enology with new blends.

This is how Superpiedmonts were born.

Our goal is to follow the cultural and environmental change and translate it into the world of Piedmontese enology.
